[F@H] Work Units in cue?

I now have two work units that are trying to be sent. The console version says" can not send HTTP request to server(wininet. Could not connect to work server(results)."

The strange thing is it sends the units; EM displays the updated score/points and an "outside" sats page shows that they have been sent.

Can anyone help me correct this error?

Yes I do, two each with a date that each work unit was completed.

 Ok,

Then if the result file has no other numbered file that matches it, e.g. _01, _02, and you are pretty sure it has been sent, just delete the file/s.
You don't have to, but I always shut down and restart the client and EM. After that you should be back to normal.

 I have two log files assoc. with the two WU numbers.
Any way I changed the the extensions on the two results file to .old and restarted client and EM.

EM shows nothing in cue. I think it may be fixed at least until the next WU is sent?

 It is back. I have received credit for the WU. Again there is a "results" file in my Work folder.

I really do not know what to do!

Maybe you have some more ideas. What would I delete in the FAH directory so I could unzip the D/L again?

You currently have the client configured to use IE connection settings. Reconfigure the client specifying NO to the question about using IE settings. Let us know if that allowed your completed unit to be returned to the server.

My first thought would be a server problem. However, the servers you are trying to connect to seem to be up.

Server Status Page

The client seems to be saying that it can't connect to return the work, but you've indicated the WU's are being credited. However, I didn't see any entries in the log indicating the WUs were accepted.

Sorto can check if your work actually got home:

#6
Project: 2412 (Run 24, Clone 13, Gen 13)
#7
Project: 2414 (Run 118, Clone 19, Gen 15)
(First attempt to send appears around October 25 08:02)
#8
Project: 2414 (Run 47, Clone 18, Gen 15)
(First attempt to send appears around October 27 15:46)

If you have a FAHlog-prev.txt file, you may be able to look up the information above for #6.

I'd hold off deleting anything else for now.

You might try re-running the client with the -configonly flag and change the use IE connection settings to NO.

Sometimes toggling that setting fixes communications problems.

It will give more information when and if you have troubles.

My guess is that IE 7 comes into play here. There are lots of reports of problems out on folding-community and statements that due to changes in IE 7, it is impossible to return units if you specify 'yes' to the question about using IE settings.
