A pretty big event at home is the John Deere Classic, which starts this weekend: »www.johndeereclassic.com/. I'm from Davenport, IA but Moline, IL is right across the river from me  .

I just got home from the golf tournament. I had John Deere 16th and 18th hole skybox passes...free food, beer, wine, hard drinks, soft drinks. It was a great day. I almost got hit by a Bubba Watson drive on the 18th hole. His ball landed 20 feet in the rough behind huge oak trees, it kicked hard left and ended up 5 feet in to the fairway.

I'm kind of jealous drslash! My parents went on Saturday like they always do, and my Uncle that has been volunteering at the tournaments for years and years was doing the ball radar (or whatever it's called). Not sure what hole(s) he was on though.
I'll try and find out, maybe you were near a relative of mine and didn't even know it  . He's an old codger, 63 I think this year. Lots of gray hair but in good shape for his age. Man walks more than anyone I know, lol.
